Retreats on the Navagrahas

avatārāny anekāni hy ajasya paramātmanah  jīvānām karmaphalado graharūpī janārdanah

"The Unborn Lord has many incarnations. Among them, He has manifested as the nine Grahas to bestow upon living beings the results arising from their karma." (Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra, Ch 2, Verses 3-4)

A series of four immersive experiences, for the Navagrahas: Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, and Ketu — through guided processes, storytelling, and embodying them, you begin to sense how each Graha (Planet) moves within you

We live under the influence of the nine Grahas — subtle forces that shape our moods, choices, and how life manifests. At times, one Graha may dominate while another recedes into the background.

These retreats are an invitation to experience these energies directly — to sense how each Graha moves within you, where it supports you, and where it challenges you.

Each retreat focuses on one or more Grahas and includes guided activities designed to help you connect with the energy of the Graha and sense its presence in your life. The experience culminates with a visit to the temple associated with that Graha. These are ancient Shiva temples, built over a thousand years ago by the Chola dynasty. Together, they form a sacred pilgrimage circuit that connects you to the Navagrahas.

The intention is not to “appease” or “control” the Grahas but to acknowledge and understand them — to see how they govern the patterns of our lives and how we can align more consciously with their flow.

Locations and retreat-specific details will be shared upon sign-up.

Please read this carefully before signing up. These retreats are designed to offer a deep, experiential connection with the Grahas, and a few things will help you prepare for the journey.

  • Take your time, this is process-work. Each day includes  pauses between activities, giving you time to integrate whatever comes up. The schedule is not packed, but we recommend avoiding calls, meetings, or any heavy commitments during the retreat. It’s an invitation to step away from your usual routine and give yourself room to listen, reflect, and feel.

  • Respect personal space, not everyone will want to talk or share, and that’s okay. There’s no need to “fix” or support anyone. Allow each person to connect with the energy of the Graha in their own way.

  • Guest houses are usually quiet and simple, with twin-sharing rooms. Meals are home-cooked South Indian vegetarian food. We have limited control over the menu, so if you have strict dietary requirements, please check with us before signing up.

A few ground rules:

  • Your spot is confirmed only after payment.

  • Group size will be kept small in number, and on a first come first serve basis.

  • Fees are non-refundable, but if something comes up, you can transfer your registration to another participant for the same retreat.

  • You’re responsible for your wellbeing - mentally, emotionally and physically. The retreat is not therapy, but a space to quietly connect with each graha.

  • Respect the spirit of the retreat. This is shared work, and your presence matters.

Here is a typical retreat schedule, subject to change as we approach the dates of the retreat

Thursday

You’re welcome to arrive and check in anytime during the day. We start late afternoon for our opening session, to set intentions and come together as a group.

Friday

On Friday, we focus on one Graha, exploring its presence through guided practices, dialogue, and creative work. Our sessions run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with breaks for tea, lunch, and quiet moments for reflection, ending with a visit to the temple associated with that Graha

Saturday

Saturday follows a similar schedule - but we turn to a second Graha, working with its unique energy and influence. The day concludes with a visit to the temple associated with that Graha, to deepen your connection with that Graha

Sunday

On Sunday, we begin the day with breakfast and a closing circle, coming together as a group to pause and reflect on the journey we’ve shared. We check-out before noon, carrying the essence of the retreat back into our everyday lives.

The retreat was a truly beautiful and soul-nourishing experience. From the moment we arrived, Vikram and the team made us feel so welcomed. It felt less like joining a group and more like coming home. There was something magical about the bond we all shared… a sense of soul connection, like meeting a long-lost family. The activities were not just thoughtfully planned, but deeply moving. They helped me turn inward in ways I hadn’t before. As I appreciated the light within me, I was also able to reflect on my shadow side and gently ask myself how I can grow from it. I’ve come back feeling lighter, more aware and truly inspired to become a better version of myself. Grateful, humbled and held by the entire experience
